Player Evaluations

Dear Parents,

We would like to execute player evaluations for all players for the 2011-2012 season.

 

Please review the attached evaluation form and fill out for your player(s). A separate form, to follow, will be forwarded for goalies.

 

The form supports a quick ranking, (e.g. 1-5), and areas for overall general comments. Please fill out and return.

 

Your coach is currently executing evaluations for all players. The coach will be contacting you shortly to set up a 15 min. player evaluation review.

 

Why do the evaluations:

Player development- For the kids

The Conquistador program goal is to develop players. The player evaluation is a means of clearly identifying a players strengths and areas that may need work.

For the Parents

Parents want to see their player develop. Additionally they want the assurance that we as a program know their child and understand his/her development needs. A transparent evaluation process will be a benefit to the player and our organization.

The Conquistadors look to provide the solution. Our goal is to provide a thoughtful critique of each player.

Provide a solution

We will be announcing a comprehensive series of summer programs. These programs will support concentrated training sessions run by excellent trainers. Areas of concentration will be power skating, defensive skills, stick handling and playmaking. In the power skating session strides will be analyzed and corrections made. Complete details of the summer offerings will be provided in the coming weeks.
